For our family business in Taunusstein, we are looking for a full-time
Freight Forwarding Agent – Shipping & Customs
Your Responsibilities and Area of Responsibility:
- Organization and processing of national and international shipping
- Creation and processing of customs and export documents (e.g., ABD, EUR.1)
- Preparation of delivery notes, invoices, and shipping documents
- Scheduling and booking of transports with freight forwarders
- Monitoring of delivery dates and ensuring timely loading
- Coordination and monitoring of loading processes
- Price negotiations and communication with freight forwarders and logistics service providers
- Transport optimization
- Review and control of incoming freight forwarding invoices
- Processing and tracking of transport damages
- Obtaining and managing proofs of arrival
What we are looking for:
- Completed training in freight forwarding, logistics, or foreign trade (e.g., Specialist in Freight Forwarding and Logistics Services)
- Professional experience in shipping processing or logistics
- Knowledge of export/customs clearance desirable
- Proficient in MS Office and ideally experienced with ERP systems
- Good German and English language skills for international communication in spoken & written form
- Strong organizational skills, structured way of working, and sense of responsibility
- Communication skills and assertiveness in dealing with service providers
